In the Burgenland community of Andau, the charismatic Hans Schwarz, a butcher by occupation, crafts three powerful wines of rich texture: a white ("Schwarzweiß"), a rose´ ("the Butcher") and a red ("Schwarzrot"). The latter clearly beat competitors even from the Piedmont and Australia at the Hamburger Weinsalon 2001. Manfred Krankl and Alois Kracher consult for Schwarz on vineyard and cellar management.

Alois Kracher loves "great growths", so he started to import into Austria some of the best and rarest wines from all over the world. He supplies Austrian restaurants via a subsidiary.
Affineur Kracher

Together with cheese sommelier Herbert Schmid from the Steirereck Restaurant, Kracher developed a blue cheese affined with Beerenauslese. The cheese comes from the Styrian region Ennstal and is produced by Schärdinger.
Kracher & Staud Weingelee

Together with the Viennese producer of fine jams, Hans Staud, Kracher makes jellies using Beerenauslese wines.

edel & gut (noble & delicious) is the joint creation of pâtissier Hansjörg Haag and Alois Kracher. The result is a chocolate which doesn´t just taste delicious but also has a fascinating story to tell about its origins - a story which begins on the lush high mountain pastures of the Tyrolean Alps and comes to an happy end with refined sweet wines in the lake-district of Burgenland.

Alois Gölles converts Kracher wines into high-quality vinegars: a white Trockenbeerenauslese vinegar and a red wine vinegar.
